Steve Ringer, Matt Godfrey and Adam Rooney bring you the latest Underwater!

The mission is to target big carp on the long pole and in the margins. This is easier said than done, and finding a suitable venue for the show proved to be tricky. Bain Valley, however, is a complex with several large lakes in Lincolnshire that are exceptionally clear, and Halifax Lake is the chosen one, thanks to its outstanding stock of carp, along with a few surprises.

Baine Valley is home to some epic carp!

First up in Part 1 is Matt on the box, exploring the long pole. With Steve and Adam behind the screens in the tent, the team explores a variety of tactics and baits. Hard pellets, pinging pellets, potting bait – all the usual commercial attacks are ventured into. The team also try various other ploys, feeding a mixture of particles and trailing different rigs and multiple forms of bait presentation and tackle. The clear water and angry, hard-fighting carp at Bain Valley make it more compelling, and every single fish hooked is a challenge to get out!

In Part 2, there are a few unturned stones to explore on the long pole again before Matt hands it over to Steve to fish in the margins. There is a perfect spot to the left of the swim with a gravel bottom and nice depth. Here, Steve trials a multitude of baits, tactics and forms of presentation to trick the wary fish. Negative feeding, positive feeding and several bait concoctions are all put through their paces as the team tries to find the most effective way of fooling Bain Valley’s residents! It’s a two-part, action-packed watch that is full of ideas, tactics, tricks, banter, giggles and more – don’t miss out!

Part 1 is out Tuesday 24th June 4pm.
