Steve Ringer

Steve is one of the longest standing Gurus in our stable, and has been a consultant for the brand since its beginning in 2010. Despite originating from Surrey, and later moving to Retford in the North of England, Steve has spent most of his life living in the midlands around Northampton where he started fishing and caught his first fish on the Grand Union Canal, a perch. He’s been a member of the England Feeder Team from the founding of the squad, and his greatest angling achievement is winning the World Feeder Championship individually in Inniscarra, Ireland. Steve has been at the forefront of match fishing since his early 20’s across the UK and in Europe, winning a plethora of titles from multiple White Acres Festivals, the Golden Rod Final, Walterland Masters in both Pole and Feeder styles, The Feeder King Final, Fish ‘O’ Mania and more! His presence in the angling media has inspired generations and continues to do so, from the early days of the Angling Times and magazines, to his modern followings on social media and parts played in film series like Fishing Gurus and Gurus Underwater on the Tackle Guru Channels. He is now a full-time angling consultant for Tackle Guru, and plays a vital role in the development of products for the company, as well as continuing his role in media productions for the brand. In his own fishing Steve aspires to keep winning and continue his consistency throughout all the events he partakes in!
