How To - Use A Speed Bander
The Speed Bander has been designed to make banding soft baits like maggots and casters much quicker and easier. This handy little tool maximises fishing time and improves bait presentation, ultimately helping you catch more fish! To use the Speed Bander effectively, you’ll need to use a banded hook length; we recommend using a micro bait band, as this grips your hook bait much tighter and gives you a more discrete and natural presentation.
Attaching The Hooklength
Take your banded hooklength and place the band on the point of the speed bander, then wiggle the band down to the lip of the Speed Bander.
Place Your Hookbait
Place your hookbait, either a caster, maggot or small 4mm pellet (we recommend using dead maggots as they stay in place better).
Trap The Hookbait
Gently peel up the band until it traps your hookbait in the band.
Perfect Presentation
Once the band is placed on the hookbait, centralise the band, making sure it's not twisted, and you will have perfectly presented hookbait.
