Guru Pole Float Range
The Guru MW Pole Float range, designed by renowned float maker Mick Wilkinson, offers various high-quality, hand-made fishing floats. The floats are made from durable materials like high-density foam and fibreglass to provide exceptional strength, stability, and visibility for different fishing conditions and techniques, ensuring optimal rig presentation and reliability for anglers.
This vast and evolving range of Guru Mick Wilkinson Pole Floats are designed and hand-made at our HQ in Essex, working to the exact specifications of renowned float maker Mick Wilkinson. Every float we produce goes through several steps of intense production and quality control from our expert team of float makers, giving the floats a bespoke, top-quality, hand-made feel.
We strive to use the highest-quality materials throughout our float production. From the high-density foam bodies used on each float to the paint we use on our bristles, every aspect of the float must be of the best quality possible.
The story behind the Guru MW float range.
Meet the range
Bagger
The Bagger pole floats are ideal when fishing against a mudline or down the edge. They feature a 0.9mm fibreglass stem, which is super durable and will not break or snap under pressure. Also, the 2mm hollow plastic bristle is visible in low light conditions or against bankside vegetation.

This thicker 2mm bristle design supports heavy baits such as worms or corn, which are often used when fishing in these conditions. A round body on this float helps keep the float nice and stable, aiding your angling when fishing shallow.
This float is available in 0.3g and 0.4g, nice and heavy enough to keep your hook bait still and maintain a good presentation of your rig and hook bait. An extra-long side eye is hand-glued to this pattern to increase the strength of the float.
JL
They are designed specifically for deep margins, deep island work, and short pole fishing, where strength, durability, and stability are key! Available in the key sizes for this kind of use—0.4g, 0.5g, and 0.6g—they enable anglers to anchor a bait in deeper margins more effectively.

This is a longer version of the popular Bagger float released last year, giving it the ultimate proportion to the depth you are fishing. Featuring a 2mm hollow-plastic tip, these are versatile in terms of baits and can be seen in all conditions. They easily offer a balance of sensitivity and visibility whilst fishing with a variety of baits such as hard pellets, naturals, corn, and meat.
The slightly elongated round body makes them very stable. Combined with an indestructible fibreglass stem, they sit securely in the wind, tow, and when big fish are routing around, displacing water.

Like all the Mick Wilkinson Signature Range, these are made from high-density foam, which adds to the strength factor and doesn't take on any water. The deep-rooted and firmly glued-in side eye can cope with immense pressure.
AR
A small float is most effective for fishing in shallow water in the upper layers, down the margins, and across islands.

The design boasts a short carbon stem, a slim and elongated rugby ball body, and a visible hollow plastic tip. This makes it ideal for all-around commercial use, from silvers and F1s shallow to carp.
This float is available in 0.1g, 0.15g, 0.2g and 0.3g.
Bobbie Carbon
The Bobbie Carbons are the perfect pole float for targeting carp all year round. They feature a 0.6mm carbon stem, which is super durable and suits a variety of different tactics. The stem itself is built all the way through the body of the float and into the bristle, adding to the strength of the float and helping it settle once dropped into the water.

The 1.8mm hollow plastic bristle is key for these floats, making them easily visible in any light situation or against any bankside vegetation, as well as being able to support heavy baits such as corn or hard pellets. Being incredibly visible improves the angler's ability to read the indications and see when to strike at the correct time. The body is a thin shape, allowing minimal resistance when striking into fish, but is still thick enough to keep the float nice and stable in the water.
Robbie Taylor, "These are great, super versatile and perfect for a bit of everything."
The side eye of the float has been through a thorough glueing process, ensuring the eye will never get pulled out whilst in battle with big fish or fishing amongst snags.
The Bobbie Carbon pole floats are a true all-rounder pattern, so we have a wide range of sizes to cope for all eventualities. Available in sizes 0.2g, 0.3g, 0.4g. 0.5g, 0.75g, 1g.
Bobbie Wire
The Bobbie float also has a 0.6mm wire stem, which offers perfect rig presentation and stability.

For enhanced strength and durability, the wire stem of the Bobbie goes right through the high-density foam body and is placed into the tip of the float, which adds significant strength and stability. The side eye of the pole float is also glued deep into the foam body, significantly improving the pole float's longevity.
We've also produced the Bobbie Wire from 0.15g to 1g, covering a wide variety of different fishing situations and bait options.
Paste
The Paste Float design will cover all your paste fishing requirements. It features an extra-long 1.8mm hollow plastic bristle (available in red and yellow) purposely extended to accommodate paste hook baits.

Just like all the floats in the MW Signature range the Paste Float features a super strong high density foam body for ultimate reliability and durability. Along with a strong fibreglass stem for increased stability and strength. The float is finished off with a strong side eye that has been double glued deep into the foam body for maximum robustness.
Available in five different sizes; 0.3g, 0.4g, 0.5g, 0.75g and 1g. Covering a wide variety of different depths and fishing situations.
Cookie
Another renowned Mick Wilkinson pattern and one of the most famous shallow fishing floats of all time is the Cookie. This dibber-style float is designed for a wide range of shallower up-in-the-water pole fishing situations on commercials for carp and F1s. Sizes of 0.1g, 0.2g, and 0.3g cover all shallow fishing options, and the floats are superb for the popular 'slapping' style of shallow fishing on many commercial venues.

The Cookie is a very popular pattern amongst commercial experts for 'mugging' or 'dobbing' fish. It is perfect for flicking at cruising fish without tangling, making an enticing, quiet little 'plip' to catch their attention. Like all our range, strength and build quality is essential, and despite being a small float, the Cookie can withstand catching big weights of large, hard-fighting fish!

The Cookie's shape also makes it perfect for shallow work and suspending baits off the bottom, such as hard pellets, meat, or casters. Its dumpy little body shoulders up into the dibber tip, which is highly visible and easily supports a wide range of baits up to 8mm pellets.
The short wire stem is sturdy and stiff, not bending or breaking under pressure but providing the small float with a lot of stability when fishing shallow.
Carbon Cookie
The Cookie float design is also available with a carbon stem and in sizes 0.1g, 0.15g, and 0.2g.

This carbon option means you can be delicate and sensitive in terms of the noise they create and how they enter the water to present a bait, with the overpowering strength and durability that this float range withholds to stand catching big weights of F1s and carp.
Pinger Carbon
As the name suggests, it's perfect for pinging pellets, but equally at home for all kinds of baits when targeting carp, F1s and commercial silvers.
The carbon stem makes the float very difficult to tangle and adds extra durability.
The Guru Carbon Pinger floats.
Ideal for fishing through the water and on the drop, it helps anglers get the perfect presentation! The rounded body shape offers stability in tow and choppy conditions. The medium 1.5mm hollow plastic bristle is highly visible, thick enough to support large baits, and sensitive enough to detect shy bites from big fish.
Frankie Gianoncelli, "The Pinger is one of the most renowned floats in the range, and the carbon version comes into play loads in my fishing."
This is the ultimate commercial all-rounder, made from Wilky's renowned high-grade foam. The carbon stem runs through the body into the bristle, making the float virtually indestructible! Again, a hand-glued extra-long side eye is unbelievably strong!
We've produced the Guru Pinger Carbon in a wide range of sizes to cover different fishing situations, depths, and weather conditions. It is available in 0.15g, 0.2g, 0.3g, 0.4g, 0.5g, 0.6g, 0.75g, and 1g.
Pinger Wire
Also available with a wire stem, the Pinger Wire Float offers impeccable balance, visibility, strength, and stability. The wire stem suits this float to choppy conditions, and the rounded body shape offers stability in tow. The medium 1.5mm hollow plastic bristle is highly visible, thick enough to support large baits, and sensitive enough to detect wary bites from large fish.

Diamond
This float is an eminent pattern originally designed by Mick Wilkinson and Steve Ringer; it is a long and stable float developed for fishing baits such as meat, corn, and pellets when stable presentation is needed—the ultimate float for fishing short.
The Guru Diamond floats explained.
The diamond features a long, stable, super-durable fibreglass stem suitable for all conditions. This stem runs right up through the high-grade foam float body and into the bristle, making the float very robust.

The name comes from the body shape—a diamond. This offers a balance of stability, sensitivity, and low resistance. The 1.8mm hollow plastic bristle is highly visible, cut, and painted in-house from scratch.
Steve Ringer, "I wanted a float that allowed me to fish light in weight, but super stable too. That's where the diamond came in."
Boasting a 0.9mm fibreglass stem, we have produced the Guru Diamond in various sizes to cover different fishing situations, depths, and weather conditions. It is available in 0.2g, 0.3g, 0.4g, 0.5g, 0.6g, 0.75g, and 1g.
Margin Diamond
Designed to catch big fish down the edge, the Margin Diamonds sit super stable due to their body shape. They also have a thick 0.9mm fibreglass stem that is incredibly strong, running all the way through the float and into the tip. Consequently, this will give you the best possible presentation when fishing down an edge line.
The Guru Margin Diamond float explained.
The tip itself is 2.5 mm thick hollow plastic, so you can see and read the float perfectly well when fishing against cover. It's also ideal for supporting large baits for big fish—bunches of maggots, worms, double corn, 8mm pellets, and meat won't drag the float under.
The side eye on the float is super durable and ensures perfect presentation. The lighter 0.1g and 0.2g versions are ideal for when you're looking for slow-falling bait or maybe loose-feeding some bait. The heavier 0.3g and 0.4g versions are suited to pinning a bait down when there are lots of big fish swirling around in the swim.
F1 Floats
The F1 Floats are designed for F1 and commercial silverfish fishing. They are available in two stem options: carbon and wire. The carbon is perfect for fishing with natural baits like casters, maggots, worms, etc.

The wire stem offers slightly more stability and is perfect for baits like pellets, maggots, and corn. The floats feature a 1.5mm hollow plastic bristle that can be easily seen in any light condition.

The slim bodies offer minimal resistance and finesse, making them perfect for a broad variety of F1 and silverfish fishing.
