Mark your calendars for 30th October, when our latest Guru product launch arrives. Leading the way are the new Guru Waterproof Trainers, combining waterproof protection, reliable grip, and bankside style, along with new additions to our pole fishing and feeder fishing ranges.

The launch also includes Impulse Natural Solid Elastic, Guru Puller Beads, X-Change Bait Up Rods and the X-Change Bait Up Reel. Each product is designed for specific fishing situations, combining practical design and performance for anglers looking to get more from their time on the bank.

Guru Waterproof Trainers – Waterproof Performance Meets Bankside Style

Keeping your feet comfortable and protected is essential when spending long hours on the bank. The new Guru Waterproof Trainers combine a hard-wearing construction with waterproof protection, breathability and a stylish design that works just as well away from the fishery.

The trainers feature a tough Poly Oxford outer fabric with a tight basket-weave construction, making it highly resistant to tears and abrasions. A water-repellent, PFAS-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating helps water bead and roll off the surface rather than soak in, without harmful synthetic chemicals.

Waterproof Protection and Reliable Grip

Inside, a fully waterproof, breathable 25K-rated membrane keeps water out while keeping you comfortable during fishing sessions. The windproof construction adds further protection when conditions turn challenging, whether you’re fishing a match or spending a few hours bit bashing.

Underfoot, a durable Guru-branded rubber sole provides reliable grip and traction across wet and dry surfaces. Heel positioning technology also delivers excellent stability, helping you stay sure-footed on challenging terrain.

Finished in black with orange accents, the trainers are designed to colour-match the existing Guru clothing and tackle range. Each pair comes with Guru orange laces as standard, plus an additional black pair for a more understated look.

Available in sizes 7–12, the Guru Waterproof Trainers combine practical bankside performance with a design that’s equally suited to everyday wear.

Impulse Natural Solid Elastic – Precision Pole Fishing Performance

Designed for anglers who demand control, finesse, and reliability, the Impulse Natural Solid Elastic targets silverfish on both natural venues and commercial fisheries, especially in the colder months.

Manufactured from premium-quality latex and pre-soaked in silicone, this solid pole fishing elastic delivers a silky-smooth, progressive action straight from the packet. The silicone treatment helps it glide effortlessly through the top kit with minimal friction, delivering consistent performance when targeting skimmers, bream, and other silverfish.

Smooth Performance When It Matters Most

Winter fishing often calls for a more delicate approach, especially when bites are at a premium. The Impulse Natural Solid Elastic offers the control needed in these situations while remaining equally effective for targeting quality silverfish in deeper water or at commercial venues.

Visibility is another key feature. Each size comes in a bright, highly visible colour, making it easier to monitor how much elastic is out during a fight, even in poor light conditions. This helps anglers judge how close a fish is before reaching for the landing net.

Guru Puller Beads – A Neat, Secure Pole Elastic Connection

Designed for use with side puller bushes or traditional puller bungs, Guru Puller Beads provide a neat, secure and reliable way to anchor pole elastic. Their combination of softness, strength, and practical design keeps elastic firmly in place without causing damage, even when stretched to its maximum.

Made from a specially formulated material, the beads are soft enough to protect the elastic while staying rigid enough to prevent it from pulling through under pressure. Each bead features a precision-engineered recessed cavity that safely houses the elastic knot, protects it from wear, and creates a tidy finish.

Quick to Fit, Built for Reliable Performance

The compact, low-profile design helps reduce the risk of tangles and time-wasting rig wrap-overs. Available in four sizes, XS, S, M, and L, each pack contains five beads. The beads fit a wide range of pole elastic diameters and fishing situations, and they match Guru Dacron Connector sizes perfectly.

Each pack comes pre-loaded onto a bespoke Guru Diamond-Eye Needle, so you can thread your elastic through the Diamond Eye, slide the bead into position, tie your preferred knot, and pull it securely into the recessed cavity. Once fitted, you’re ready to fish in seconds.

Whether you’re targeting F1s, carp or silverfish, Guru Puller Beads provide a dependable connection that keeps your pole elastic performing as it should, session after session.

X-Change Bait Up Rods – Built for Heavy-Duty Feeder Baiting

Effective baiting-up has become increasingly important in modern feeder fishing, particularly in competitive matches where getting large quantities of feed into the swim quickly can make a real difference.

Developed specifically for this task, the Guru X-Change Bait Up Rods were designed with input from Steve Ringer to help anglers bait up efficiently and accurately, at the distances modern feeder fishing demands.

Power, Accuracy and Fast Feeder Emptying

Built using 30-tonne tensile carbon, these two-piece rods feature powerful action blanks with over-cap joints. Available in 10ft, 11ft and 12ft versions, they cover a range of baiting-up distances, with casting weights of up to 170g, 220g and 280g respectively.

The powerful, fast action lets the rods compress and load for accurate long-range casting, while the rapid tip action helps empty the feeder when you jerk the rod. This also lets anglers release bait at different depths, giving them opportunities to fine-tune their baiting-up approach.

An anti-frap tip guide sits on the end eye of each rod to help prevent crack-offs and twisting when casting heavy feeders. A long handle and exclusive Guru EVA rear grip provide comfort, control and accuracy during repeated casts, while a DPS-style reel seat, Sea-Guide XQG anti-tangle guides with LS Zirconia rings, and a Japanese shrink-grip rear handle complete the design.

For a dedicated baiting-up setup, the rods are designed to work alongside the X-Change Bait Up Reel, X-Change Bait-Up Braid and Bait-Up Feeders.

The Guru X-Change Bait Up Reel is a dedicated baiting-up setup, purpose-designed for the demands of modern feeder fishing. When you need to get a large amount of bait into the swim quickly, a reel that combines power, speed, and durability can make a significant difference.

Designed to work alongside the 10ft, 11ft and 12ft X-Change Bait Up Rods and X-Change Bait Up Braid, the reel forms part of a dedicated baiting-up system engineered to work together.

For repeated heavy-duty use, the machine-cut Power Drive gear provides the required strength, while the machine-cut aluminium spool and handle reinforce the reel’s hard-working credentials. A high-speed drag system with multi-carbon washers allows fast, controlled drag adjustment, while Infinite Anti-Reverse delivers positive engagement and dependable control.

Double metal line clips support accurate casting at consistent distances, while the soft-touch T-shaped handle knob provides a comfortable, secure grip during repeated casts and fast retrieves.
