Using a PVA bag is one of the most effective ways to present a compact, irresistible bait offering when targeting carp. When prepared correctly, it can be a match-winning method. What you will need -

PVA Speedmesh System

Pole Pots

Mainline Match Activated Carp Pellets 2mm

Guru Rig Scissors

Guru Speedmesh Needle

Guru Speed Bead

Guru Ready Rig of your choice

Step 1

PVA Speedmesh System

Grab your PVA Speedmesh System and pull out the plunger.

Step 2

Measure your bait

Pole Pots make great measuring tools. They allow you to have consistent bag sizes and also give you an idea of how much you're feeding! Scoop your pole pot into some dry pellets; 2 mm micro pellets work really well for this.

Step 3

Load your PVA System

Pour the pellets into the PVA system.

Step 5

Tie the bag

Pull the PVA Mesh away from the system; this will help you tie your bag much more quickly! Then, tie an overhand knot with the PVA, ensuring the knot is tight to the bag. This will create a neat, small parcel of bait.

Step 6

Tie a second knot

Tie another overhand knot just above the previous knot. This will prepare you for the next PVA bag you tie. The two knots should look like this. Then, Cut the PVA with scissors right between the two knots.

Step 7

Grab your Speedmesh needle

Grab a Speedmesh needle and place it through the bag like this, avoiding both knots in the bag.

Step 8

Attach your ready rig

Insert your hook-length loop from your chosen Guru Ready Rig into the gate latch needle and close the latch. Then, pull the bag over the needle and let the PVA bag slide down the line to the hook.

Step 9

Catch some fish!

Time to clip your hook length to your speed bead, and cast it out.
