How To - Make Mikey Williams Autumn Ground Bait Mix

As autumn sets in, fish often become more selective — making the right mix crucial for success. Follow this step-by-step guide to create Mikey Williams’ Autumn Ground Bait Mix, a perfectly balanced blend designed to attract all species and keep them feeding confidently in cooler conditions.

You Will Need

Mainline Match F1 Sweet

Mainline Match Green Supreme

18L Bucket

Multi Riddle

Step 1

Grab your Mainline Match F1 Sweet

Grab a bag of Mainline Match F1 Sweet and pour half of it into an 18L bucket.

Step 2

Grab your Mainline Match Green Supreme

Do the exact same thing with half a bag of Mainline Match Green Supreme.

Step 3

Mix them together

Once all the ingredients are in a bucket, give it a good mix by blending the two ground baits together.

Step 4

Add water

Add approximately 1.5 pints of water initially; this should adequately saturate the mix.

Step 5

Mix together, again!

Get your hands in and give it a good mix, ensuring all the ground bait has been thoroughly saturated. Then, leave it for around 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

Wait, then add more water

After 15-20 minutes have passed, the ground bait will have dried slightly. Add another half a pint of water and give it another good mix.

Step 7

Empty onto Multi Riddle

Empty the bucket of ground bait onto a Multi Riddle.

Step 8

Push through Multi Riddle

Push the ground bait through the Multi Riddle. Mikey likes to use the 4mm mesh on the riddle, giving the ground bait a nice, fluffy, yet heavy texture.

Step 9

The perfect Autumn mix

Here's the final result —a mix that will attract all species as the weather cools down!
