New Impulse Elastic Range Leads Our Latest Product Launch

When it comes to pole fishing, the right elastic can make a huge difference. It needs to stretch smoothly, give you control when you need it, and have the power to handle everything from small silverfish through to hard-fighting commercial carp.

That’s exactly what we’ve been looking to achieve with the new Impulse Hybrid Solid Elastic and Impulse Liquid Hollow Elastic – two premium pole elastic ranges designed to cover an enormous variety of fishing situations.

Alongside the two new elastics, we’re also launching Rig Hook Ups, a simple way to protect your rigs and elastic, plus the Groundbait Whisk, designed to make preparing groundbait, soil and leams quicker and more consistent.

Impulse Hybrid Solid Elastic – one elastic for every situation

The Impulse Hybrid Solid Elastic has been developed to give the modern pole angler one elastic range that genuinely does it all.

Built around premium-quality, silicone-soaked latex, its Hybrid construction combines the key properties of solid and hollow elastics. The result is a super-smooth, controlled elastic suited to a wide range of pole fishing techniques and species.

Smooth performance when the pressure is on

One of the biggest differences with the Impulse Hybrid is the silky-smooth performance delivered by its pre-soaked silicone finish.

This treatment helps the elastic run as cleanly as possible through the top kit, even under extreme pressure or in varying weather conditions.

The pre-soaking significantly minimises the jerking or kicking performance that can result in lost fish. It’s a quality we felt was essential when playing fish, and one of the most noticeable differences when the elastic is really put under pressure.

The Hybrid construction is designed to provide the stretch of a hollow elastic with the control and power of a solid, giving anglers a versatile option for everything from lighter silverfish work through to powerful commercial carp fishing.

Nine sizes from silverfish to double-figure carp

The Impulse Hybrid Solid Elastic is available in nine graded sizes, starting at 1.2mm – No.5 in Green, which is ideally suited to silverfish and light canal work.

From there, the range increases in clean 0.2mm increments to the most powerful option: 2.8mm – No.20 in Blue, designed to target large double-figure carp.

With seven sizes between those two extremes, the range is designed to close the gaps and give you an Impulse Hybrid option for virtually every pole fishing scenario.

Every Impulse Hybrid Solid Elastic is supplied in a practical 5-metre length. One pack will comfortably cut two standard 2.4m top kits or three F1-style 1.8m top kits, with elastic left over.

That means less waste between kits, less wastage on the bank and excellent value for a premium pole elastic.

Impulse Liquid Hollow Elastic – smooth, progressive stretch

Joining the Hybrid Solid is the Impulse Liquid Hollow Elastic, developed to deliver the smoothest and most progressive stretch in the Impulse family.

It is built around premium-quality, silicone-soaked latex, with a sealed liquid core running through the heart of the elastic.

The construction is designed to flood the hollow with a controlled silicone fill, leaving the elastic supple, consistent, and beautifully weighted through the top kit.

On the strike, it stretches progressively on the run, absorbing the initial lunge of hard-fighting silverfish, F1s and lively smaller carp without the all-too-common kick back at the hook.

As the fish comes back towards the net, the elastic settles into a controlled, even pull.

What makes liquid-filled hollow elastic different?

The liquid-filled core feeds directly into the overall stretch profile, delivering consistent, controlled elastic performance.

An unfilled hollow can flatten at the extremes of pressure before feeling bumpy and sticky as the elastic retracts back into the top kit. The liquid fill inside the Impulse helps dampen that response and smooth out those peaks and troughs.

The result is a hollow elastic with an exceptionally smooth and controlled response under pressure – making it a premium option for modern match fishing.

The Impulse Liquid Hollow starts at 1.5mm – No.6, making it ideally suited to small silverfish on the canal, winter commercial silverfish and F1 fishing.

At the other end of the range is the 3.4mm – No.22, designed for targeting large double-figure commercial carp.

With nine graded sizes in total, the range covers everything in between, giving anglers options from small silverfish and F1s right through to the largest commercial carp.

Every size is supplied in a practical 5-metre pack, with enough elastic to comfortably fit two standard 2.4m top kits or three F1-style 1.8m top kits, with elastic to spare.

Rig Hook Ups – a simple way to protect your rigs and elastic

While the new Impulse elastics are at the forefront of this launch, we’ve also developed a simple accessory designed to make storing and protecting your pole rigs much easier.

The Rig Hook Ups provide a simple, secure, and effective way to protect both your pole rigs and your elastic during a session, in transport, and in storage.

They are made from a soft, flexible, highly durable material that securely holds your rig without damaging your pole sections.

Clever hook locator, slim anti-tangle design

The standout feature is the integrated hook locator.

Its slim profile helps eliminate potential tangles and rig wrap-overs, while the dedicated slot holds your hook safely. This keeps the rig neat and secure while helping to avoid unnecessary damage to the hook point.

It also makes changing rigs or packing away at the end of a session quick and straightforward.

Another important benefit is protecting your elastic.

By securing the rig with little or no elastic protruding from the tip, Rig Hook Ups help eliminate unnecessary exposure to damaging UV rays while the elastic is under tension.

Prolonged sunlight can cause latex elastic to deteriorate and perish, reducing both its performance and lifespan. Keeping the elastic safely housed inside the top kit whenever possible helps maintain that smooth, consistent performance for longer.

They fit perfectly on No.2 and No.3 sections and are available in Small and Medium sizes.

Small is ideal for standard top kits and number one sections, while Medium is designed for larger-diameter top kits and No.3 and No.4 sections.
