How To - Elasticate A Top Kit
Properly elasticating your pole is crucial for an effective setup and maximizing your pole fishing success. An incorrectly fitted elastic can lead to many issues, including lost fish, poor control, and tangles. To help you avoid these problems, we've created a simple step-by-step guide for perfectly elasticating your top kits every time.
Thread your pole elastic connector
Start by threading the pole elastic connector over your diamond eye threader and attaching your pole elastic as shown.
Secure the connector
Then, thread your bead onto the elastic and tie a double overhand knot to secure the bead in place.
Thread your elastic through the top kit
Thread the bottom part of the elastic through the top of the top kit until it comes out the bottom. Then repeat the same process with your number 2 section and join the 2 sections together.
Put diamond eye threader through side puller
Get the diamond eye threader and thread it through your side puller.
Thread it all the way through
Ensure it the diamond eye threader reaches the bottom of your top kit section as shown.
Attach elastic and slowly pull it through
Then, thread your elastic into your diamond eye threader and slowly pull it back through your side puller until it tightens.
Secure another pole elastic connector
Attach a side puller bead using the diamond eye threader and secure with another double overhand knot.
Trim elastic
Finally, be sure to use your Guru scissors to trim any excess elastic.
