0.22mm N-Gauge |
0.5g Guru Paste Float |
Carp Pole Float Silicone |
Tungsten Olivette Weights |
Small Super Tight Line Stops |
Loop Tyer |
Size 10 Super XS Spade Ready Rigs |

Grab your main line
Grab a strong and durable main line. 0.22mm N-Gauge does the job perfectly!

Grab your float
Thread the line through the eye of the float, the float choice being a 0.5g Guru Paste Float.

Grab your silicone
Grab your silicone to attach the line to the float. The 0.6mm silicone in the Carp Pole Float silicone pack grips the line enough to stop the float from moving when fishing, but not so grippy that it can damage the line.

Thread onto your float
Chop into 3 pieces and thread onto your float like this, ensuring the piece of silicone overlaps the stem of the float slightly longer.

Grab your Olivette's
For the 0.5g Paste float, a 0.5g Tungsten Olivette weights and shots the float to perfection.Grab a Tungsten Olivette and remove it from the silicone.

Thread your Olivette onto your mainline
Thread the Tungsten Olivette onto the mainline below the Paste float.

Grab your Super Tight Line Stops
Grab a pack of Small Super Tight Line Stops. These will act as a buffer to the Tungsten Olivette, ensuring the Olivette doesn't slide out of place. Attch them to your line like this.

Create a loop
Create a loop using a loop tyer below the Tungsten Olivette and the line stop, this will be to attach your hook length.

Tie a figure of 8 loop
At the top of the rig, tie a figure of 8 loop to attach your pole rig to your pole.

Attach to your elastic
Attach this figure of 8 loop onto your elastic just like this.

Grab your ready rigs
Grab yourself a ready rig, the size 10 Super XS Spade ready rigs are the ones for the job!

Attach your rig and plummet
Attach to your rig and thread on a plummet. A 30g plummet gives you a positive reading on the float and accurately measures the depth.

Plumb up
Time to plumb up, adjust the float so it looks like this when under tension, whilst the plummet is still lying on the bottom.

Shotting pattern for shallow water
Use this shotting pattern when fishing in shallow water. Where the Tungsten Olivette and Super Tight Line Stop is touching the loop attaching the hook length.

Shotting pattern for deeper water
Use this shotting pattern when fishing in deeper water, anything over 2.5ft. Sliding the Super Tight Line Stop and the Tungsten Olivette around 30cm up the line.

Catch a fish!
All that's left to do is slip a blob of paste on, hook a fish.
