Andy Bennett is one of the most formidable anglers in today’s match fishing scene. He is a two-time Fish ‘O’ Mania £50,000 Final winner, two-time Kamasan Matchman of the Year and has an un-touchable record in festivals up and down the country! He began fishing in his early teens, with support from his brothers and father. Then after he hung up his football boots at the age of 16, he went on to win the Intermediate National individually at Moorlands Farm with a huge haul of 52kg! A few years later, Andy suffered a horrific life-altering injury. He was in the middle of changing a tyre on his van by the side of the motorway when he was hit by a car. The severity of his injuries to his back and pelvis meant he was left with 27 pins, 3 metal plates and doubt that he would ever walk again. Since his incredible recovery, he has gone on to secure sponsorships from some of the industry’s leading brands, including Tri-Cast, Blakes Baits and Tackle Guru.
