Bobby started fishing with his father when he was 8 years old, catching small roach and perch at Hunters Lodge in Sussex, and began competing in matches at around 11 at a place called Oast Farm. Open matches progressed Bob to the next level, competing at places such as Gold Valley and Stub Pond, before he was asked to join the Delcac Match Team when he was just 17. Here, he started to venture to different venues, including some natural waters allowing him to hone an all-round skillset. The renowned Daiwa Dorking Team soon asked Bob to join, and he went on to win team events such as the Division 1 National and Commercial National. He enjoys competing in all kinds of high-level match fishing events, and has qualified for multiple finals including Fish‘O’Mania, Golden Reel Final and many more, continuing to do so regularly now. For work, Bob is the man behind a lot of the graphic, product and packaging you see, and features in a lot of the Tackle Guru media too in productions such as Fishing Gurus, Bitesize films and more. His main aim is to compete at the highest possible level in the UK, and to get his name of some of the country’s most prestigious titles!
