Pete ‘THE MEAT’ Upperton has won some serious matches, collating £95,000 in winnings from just three events – the Match This Final, Fishing Association Final and Master Of The Manor Final. His fishing journey began catching minnows on the River Mole, but he soon began competing competitively and gained a name for himself first on the southern match scene before taking the UK's big match scene by storm. He got the nickname ‘Pete The Meat’ after becoming renowned for winning matches using luncheon meat, a method that has accounted for some huge weights and big wins for him. He continues to be super successful countrywide, and his aim is to add more major titles to his tally.
