We are proud to introduce the flagship Tackle Guru Aventus R rod range, the distinguished successor to our widely acclaimed flagship Aventus series. The "R" designation signifies "Reborn," representing a comprehensive evolution in rod design and manufacturing excellence. Through the integration of cutting-edge materials and refined engineering principles, the Aventus R series establishes a new benchmark for performance, durability and precision. This is more than an upgrade; it's a complete reimagining of what an elite fishing rod can achieve.
Aventus R – Float Range
The Aventus R Float range is made up of five specialist rods engineered to cover the complete spectrum of running line tactics, from commercial pellet waggler fishing through to natural water waggler and slider fishing techniques. The range starts with the 10ft and 11ft two-piece rods, designed to cover modern-day commercial waggler fishing. The range is finished with 13ft, 14ft, and 15ft three-piece variants developed to address the specific demands of natural water waggler fishing.
All models across the range feature Fuji KW Anti-Tangle Guides with Alconite Rings, Premium Grade Armlock Cork Handles, Guru Ergonomic EVA Rear Grips, and Fuji TVS Reel Seats. This consistent premium specification ensures optimal line management, precise casting control, and reliable performance when it matters most.
Aventus R – 13ft, 14ft and 15ft Float
The range features an additional three models, all in 3-piece construction, to comprehensively cover all aspects of natural water waggler fishing. These include 13ft, 14ft, and 15ft variants designed for diverse venues ranging from small lakes to large reservoirs and flowing rivers.
The 14ft model represents a brand-new addition to the range, developed primarily for big waggler and slider fishing on deep stillwaters where line pickup speed is crucial. However, it also proves perfect for stick float and waggler fishing on rivers, offering superior line control. The 15ft model offers the ultimate in line control for river work, while the 13ft remains the versatile standard for general waggler fishing.
Aventus R – Advanced Technologies
Zero90X Carbon Technology
The Zero90X Carbon Technology represents a significant upgrade over the original Zero90 material found in the previous generation. This advancement involves the strategic addition of a new carbon layer featuring X-weave fibres positioned specifically between the zero-degree and 90-degree carbon sheets. This intricate composite structure creates a completely new blank architecture that significantly reduces twisting and torquing forces that naturally occur during casting.
By minimising the natural deviation of the blank when under maximum compression, the Zero90X technology produces a much faster-action blank. This critical reduction in torque allows the rod tip to recover more quickly, enabling anglers to achieve significantly longer casting distances, with more control and accuracy. Furthermore, because the blank resists twisting, the energy transfer is linear and direct, resulting in substantially improved accuracy.
RJS – Rigid Joint System
To ensure structural consistency and power transfer throughout the entire length of the rod, we have integrated Zero90X material within the Reinforced Ferrule (RF) at each joint. This engineering innovation, termed the RJS Rigid Joint System, facilitates a seamless, power-progressive blank curve that mimics the feel of a one-piece rod.
The primary benefit of the RJS system is the elimination of "flat spots" or stiff points typically found at joint connections. This ensures excellent fish-playing action, maintaining the rod's integrity under heavy load. For the angler, this translates to a smoother fight, better cushion against lunging fish, and increased confidence when playing larger species on lighter tackle.
